The story of a couple that meets friends for dinner. Everyone in this world has the ability to retrieve and research all their memories with advancements in technology. Most people have these implants but some elect to remove them. Be able to record everything you do, see and hear. At your fingertips.

Able to retrieve and view as if it were a social media post. I immediately felt like this was tied to our normal social media behaviors and activity. The main character becomes obsessed with the interaction of one of his acquaintances with his wife. He literally begins to stalk his own memories for evidence that she may have had cheated or lied about her friendship with the acquaintance.

This line of thinking brings Liam on a destructive path of erratic behavior that leads to violence and the eventual end of his marriage. You see jealous behavior all the time on social media from people’s partners you may follow.

Like they are the gatekeepers for some reason? I have also found this weird. Even though this episode is not directly about social media. I always feel that is where it started, that is where it starts. I do not know if I would want to have access to all my memories?

It would just be another thing to obsess over. Like the 1st years of the Internet. Also, who would you be? The idea that we are uniquely different directly comes from one’s ability to: accept, assimilate, process, use data we see, touch, taste, smell and hear. I do not know. I ask the question!
